Fresh off its season 3 finale, Critical Role is running an actual play one-shot set in the world of Avowed on Feb. 18 at 10 p.m. EST. Anjali Bhimani, who voices Orlan party member Yatzli in the newly released Pillars of Eternity spin-off, will play with regular cast members.
āExplore the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger,ā the showās description reads. āAs an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate rumors of a spreading plague with a secret that threatens to destroy everything. Can you save the island and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them apart?ā
The Living Lands is also the setting for Avowed, which was released Monday to somewhat middling reviews. The world-building, though, is one aspect the game is garnering acclaim for, so it should make a wonderful backdrop.
Bhimani, in her fifth appearance as a Critical Role guest star, will be joined by frequent players Marisha Ray (Keyleth, Beauregard Lionett, Laudna) and Travis Willingham (Grog Strongjaw, Fjord, Chetney Pock OāPea) as well as newcomers SungWon āProZDā Cho and Whitney Moore. As usual, Matthew Mercer will act as Dungeon Master.
