If you can’t get Scanlan Shorthalt’s tawdry songs out of your head as you watch The Legend of Vox Machina, we have great news for you: the full soundtrack for the third season of The Legend of Vox Machina will be available on Oct. 25. And in addition to Neal Acree’s orchestral score, the album contains a number Scanlan’s original songs (as performed by Sam Riegel) with Peter Habib.
And we have an exclusive sneak peek with the first song — which is also the last song of the season. “Circle the World” is a fitting farewell that Scanlan and his daughter Kaylie (Aisling Franciosi) sing as the season closes up and the characters make their next moves. Unlike some other Scanlan songs, this one is more bittersweet than randy, which makes sense given where the finale leaves Vox Machina.
“We’re so incredibly proud of this third season, with its ups, downs, romance and action galore, and now we’re thrilled to bring the music and songs to fans across the world. Crank up the volume and enjoy!” says Riegel.
“We were also lucky to have the incomparable Aisling Franciosi join Sam for the emotional finale, ‘Circle the World,’ a song we’ve woven throughout the season in various forms,” says Habib.
“This series has exercised every creative muscle I have as a composer and as a viewer never ceases to make me laugh and cry,” adds Acree.
